Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 3, 2026
ShiftMaster ("we", "our", or "the app") is a sports team management app
that helps coaches and team managers rotate players fairly during games.
This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and
your rights regarding that data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information required to provide the app's
functionality:
-
Email address — collected when you create an account or
sign in, used solely for authentication.
-
App data you create — team names, player names, game
records, shift history, and sport configurations that you enter into the
app. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you choose to
back it up, in your private cloud storage space.
We do not collect:
- Location data
- Contacts or phone data
- Photos, files, or media
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioural tracking data
2. How We Use Your Information
-
Your email address is used only to identify your
account and allow you to sign in. It is never shared with third parties
or used for marketing.
-
Your app data (teams, players, games) is used
exclusively to provide the app's core features. Cloud backups are stored
under your unique user ID and are not accessible to other users.
3. Data Storage
-
On-device storage: All app data is stored locally on
your device using a SQLite database. This data remains on your device
until you uninstall the app or switch accounts.
-
Cloud storage: If you use the backup feature, your app
data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore under your account. Each
user's data is isolated and only accessible when signed in with that
account.
-
Authentication: Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase
Authentication. We do not store passwords ourselves.
4. Third-Party Services
ShiftMaster uses Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore), a service
provided by Google LLC. Firebase's own privacy policy applies to the
processing of your data on their infrastructure. You can review it at
firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
We use no other third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics services.
5. Data Retention
-
Local data is retained on your device until you delete the app or sign
in with a different account.
-
Cloud backup data is retained until you delete your account or manually
remove it via the app settings.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
-
Access your data — all data you have entered is visible
inside the app.
-
Delete your data — you can delete teams, players, and
games from within the app. To delete your account and all associated
cloud data, contact us at the email below.
-
Export your data — your data is stored in standard
formats and is accessible via the backup/restore features.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have
additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and
the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Children's Privacy
ShiftMaster is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children. Player names entered
into the app by coaches or managers are used solely within the app and are
not linked to any personal profile or account.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be
posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after
changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
